2. All of our coffees are purchased at or above the average Fair Trade industry cost.
3. Small batch estate coffees are selected in order to sustain the highest quality.
4. Plantations engaged in sustainable farming practices are selected at every possible opportunity.
5. Shade grown coffees are selected at every possible opportunity.
6. All coffee growing nations are supported, even those with low yield production or short productions. These include: Sulawesi, Bolivia, East Timor as well as other minor islands within Indonesia.

Roasting and Respect:

1. Small batch roasting to maintain the highest degree of respect for each of the coffees roast profile.
2. Maintain the integrity of the bean by ensuring fresh product. Smaller batches keep coffee from being “stock piled” and then sold. We roast to order.
3. Supply the customer with as much information as possible in regard to the origin of each coffee, its’ environment, growing conditions, cupping profile.

Community Dedication:

1. 100% of CityKid Java profits are donated to Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation, our non-profit partner supporting at-risk kids in the Twin Cities.
2. All coffee is roasted and packaged locally.
